A 48-year-old San Francisco man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of exposing himself to children on multiple occasions at a Target store in Cupertino, the Santa Clara County Sheriff's office announced today.
Deputies with the Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement Task Force arrested Paul Stone at about noon in Mountain View.
The arrest followed a three-week investigation during which he was captured on a surveillance camera at a Target store located at 20745 Stevens Creek Blvd.
The sheriff's office said that Stone was seen exposing himself to two children at Target on two occasions, but managed to evade store security each time. The security team compiled a description from the children's mother and monitored the store to find his match.
When Stone returned for the third time on April 10, security members immediately recognized him and called the sheriff's office to give deputies Stone's license plate number, but he got away yet again.
Stone's luck ran out on Tuesday when he was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail on three counts of indecent exposure with a prior conviction and two counts of annoying and/or molesting a child. His bail was set at $60,000.
