Anthem Blue Cross has withdrawn plans to raise health insurance rates for California customers by as much as 39 percent.
The Woodland Hills-based company said Thursday it will revise rate requests it had filed with the California Department of Insurance and the Department of Managed Health Care as soon as possible.
Anthem says it will use updated information and address what it termed inadvertent miscalculations involving the way it estimated
future medical costs.
