San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo and Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf joined San Francisco Mayor London Breed Wendesday for a forum in San Francisco on the challenges they face while improving the communities in their respective cities.
The online social network Nextdoor hosted the event at its headquarters at 875 Stevenson St.
The forum consisted of the mayors talking about their key priorities for their cities this year as well as a conversation moderated by journalist Carla Marinucci, Nextdoor officials said.
The social network is used by residents to connect with their neighbors, police and fire departments and other agencies.
"The Nextdoor platform is being utilized by residents in every neighborhood of San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose, and represents the ideal framework for a discussion about civic leadership and neighborhood community initiatives," the company said.
