As a celebration of National Poetry month, San Jose State University Legacy of Poetry Festival held by the SJSU Poets and Writers Coalition is a month-long event featuring poetry of migration and diaspora. The festival highlights talented writers born outside of the United States and who are the children of immigrant families. Events for the festival are celebrated throughout the month of April in various locations at San Jose State University. To kick off the festival, Legacy of Poetry Slam Finals is a FREE event.
