Friends of the San Jose Rose Garden needs your Help!

Come help us keep the Rose Garden beautiful! Help is needed with weeding, pruning, dead-heading and mulching. As the last blooms of the season bring new life, vibrant colors, and delicate fragrance to the garden, proper rose care is imperative for gorgeous rose buds that will display their beauty well into the fall months. Volunteers will learn proper rose care and then will practice their newly learned skills within the garden setting. Practice makes perfect!

The San Jose Rose Garden was established in 1932 and is a popular park with both residents and visitors. Like many public parks, the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden has limited resources, but volunteers make the garden bloom again and again. Many residents feel a special connection to the Rose Garden, the location for countless graduations, weddings, and family picnics. The Rose Garden also is a welcome respite from the hectic pace, a peaceful place to "stop and smell the roses."
