Southbound lanes on Highway 1were blocked due to a rockslide in the Devils Slide area south of Linda Mar Boulevard.

Downed trees close southbound Highway 13 in Oakland

Highway 13 was closed in Oakland overnight due to fallen trees and landslides. The road was closed at about 10 p.m after a tree blocked the southbound lanes near Broadway Terrace, the California Highway Patrol said. Additional small mudslides and trees fell onto the highway at about 4 a.m. There was no estimated time for reopening as of 8 a.m.

Landslide at UC Berkeley shuts down roadway

A landslide on the UC Berkeley campus has closed Sports Lane at the Clark Kerr Campus until further notice, according to a university police alert. UCPD asked the public to avoid the area.

Highway 101 shut down on Peninsula for pothole

Multiple vehicles reportedly were damaged by a large pothole that formed on northbound Highway 101 near Woodside Road in Redwood City, and the freeway was shut down, according to the California Highway Patrol. Several vehicles were forced to the shoulder after they were damaged by the pothole. Some lanes were later reopened.

Overnight snowfall on Mount Hamilton near San Jose

With temperatures dipping overnight and the rain continuing to fall, Bay Area peaks like Mount Hamilton, just east of San Jose, got some significant snowfall.

Santa Clara County evacuation warning expanded south of Gilroy

Santa Clara County expanded existing evacuation warnings to residents in the watershed areas along Bloomfield Avenue south of Gilroy. The added evacuation zone includes Bloomfield Avenue between Highway 25 and Highway 152 and south of Bloomfield to the county line, officials said.

The evacuation warning means residents should gather pets, personal items, important documents, prescription medications, change of clothes, non-perishable foods, water, extra batteries, flashlights, and phone chargers. They should be prepared to evacuate to a safe location.

CHP closes Bear Creek Road in Santa Cruz County due to falling roadway

The California Highway Patrol said Sunday evening that there is a long-term closure on Bear Creek Road at Greenview Drive due to the roadway falling in Santa Cruz County. They are asking drivers to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

Highway 37 to remain closed for Monday due to flooding in Novato

Caltrans said Sunday night that Highway 37 that was closed Saturday in both directions near Atherton Avenue, including the U.S. 101 connector ramps to Highway in Novato, due to storm related flooding, will likely remain closed into Monday.

New mudslides prompts continued and new closures on Highway 1 near Big Sur

Caltrans said late Sunday afternoon a new slide has covered both lanes of State Highway 1, just south of Mill Creek.

The gates at Paul's Slide south of Big Sur remain closed and crews are responding to a new closure north of Lucia.

Power restored after fallen tree causes outage for Comcast customers in Half Moon Bay

A fallen tree on power lines has caused a power outage for Comcast customers in Half Moon Bay Sunday, the company said.

According to Comcast, service was restored to most customers just after 5:30 p.m.

Evacuation order in Carmel downgraded in Monterey County

A previously announced evacuation order for residents near the Carmel River in Carmel Valley and Carmel-by-the-Sea has been downgraded to an evacuation warning, effective immediately, officials said Sunday.

Highway 37 closed in Novato

The eastbound and westbound directions of state Highway 37 in Novato are closed due to a storm-related flooding.

A Caltrans spokesperson said the full highway closure went into effect ay 5:30 p.m. Saturday. The closure will remain in effect until further notice, at which time Caltrans and the California Highway Patrol will determine if the highway is safe to travel.

Highway 92 reopens for one-way traffic, westbound lanes still closed

Caltrans said Saturday that one-way traffic control are in place on eastbound Highway 92 at Upper State Route 35 (Skyline Blvd.) to Pilarcitos Creek Rd. in Half Moon Bay.

They added that the westbound lanes of Highway 92 will remain closed as crews continue to make repairs on a sinkhole which appeared earlier this week.

Woman appears to be killed by fallen tree in San Francisco: Fire

A woman was killed after hit by a fallen tree on JFK Drive in San Francisco Saturday, according to officials.

The San Francisco Fire Department said that just after 5 p.m. at JFK Drive and 30th, a jogger noticed a woman was down next to a large tree branch and called 911.

Firefighters arrived afterwards to provide life-saving measures but said the victim died at the scene.

Golden Gate Bridge reopens after overturned big rig caused traffic delays

Both directions of the Golden Gate Bridge reopened Saturday night following the situation involving an overturned big rig, officials said.

I-80 Closed Through Tahoe due to snow in the area

According to CHP's Truckee Division, Interstate 80 is closed at westbound at the Nevada Stateline and eastbound at Colfax due to heavy snow in the area. CHP added that they do not have an estimated time of reopening.

Mudslide blocks road in Belmont

The Belmont Police Department said a mudslide is blocking the road in front of the 2800 block of San Juan Boulevard.

Officials added the mudslide is impacting traffic for several hours and are recommending drivers to use alternate routes.

Car stranded after driving through flooded roadway on Sunol Road

A vehicle got trapped driving through a flooded roadway on southbound Sunol Road near Interstate 680 in alameda County.

First responders told NBC Bay Area's Alyssa Goard that the driver of the vehicle is OK and was being treated in the area.

Alameda County workers said the road is closed at this time.

Boulder on roadway closes Taylor Road near Highway 193 in Placer County

According to the Placer County Sheriff's Office, a boulder in the roadway has shut down Taylor Road between Old State Highway and Highway 193. It's unknown at this time when the area will reopen.

Evacuation orders issued for low-lying areas of Carmel River

Evacuation orders were issued for low-lying areas of Carmel River Saturday afternoon, the Monterey County Sheriff's Office said.

The order includes the Carmel River north of Klondike Canyon Road, Carmel Valley Road and south of Rancho San Carlos Road.

Downed tree in San Francisco

San Francisco Fire Department reported a downed tree in the area of Harrison and Precita. They said that there were no injuries but are asking the public to avoid the area.

Stage Road near Pescadero closed due to partial road collapse

Cal Fire said that the 4100 block of Stage Road near Pescadero was closed Saturday due to a partial collapse of the road.

Emergency evacuations issued in Felton Grove

Officials in Santa Cruz County issued emergency evacuations Saturday in Felton Grove. They added that deputies were in the area and are asking residents to leave.

Muir Woods closed due to storm

Officials said Saturday that Muir Woods was closed due to storm impacts and road conditions. They added that all reservations will be automatically cancelled and refunded.

Niles Canyon closed due to mudslide

Caltrans said on Saturday that Niles Canyon (State Route 84) was closed from Old Canyon Road to Silver Springs Road is closed in both directions due to a mudslide.

Caltrans said that drivers are advised to expect delays.

Spinouts and crashes cause Eastbound I-80 and Highway 50 to close

Interstate 80 was closed eastbound at Nyack in Placer County Friday night because of several spinouts, according to Caltrans.

Highway 50 was also shutdown east of Kyburz because of a crash.

New evacuation warning issued for watershed areas in South Bay

Santa Clara County officials have issued a new evacuation warning for residents living in the watershed areas of the Uvas Reservoir, Pacheco Pass River Basin, and U.S. Highway 101 and Bolsa Road.
