    It's not quite Robocop, but it's getting there. With the swipe of a thumb, law enforcement can fire up an iPhone, take a picture of you and run that mug through some bad-guy databases. They call it biometric identification.

    It has a virtual zero error rate," according to Sean Mullin, president and CEO of BI2 Technologies, the device's creator."

    In addition to face recognition, there's iris recognition (are you in yet??) and fingerprint identification.

    The MORIS hardware started their implementation in Brockton, MA, according to their chief of police. It's also endorsed by the National Sheriff's Association.
