Santa Clara County sheriff's detectives are investigating the discovery of a body early Friday morning in a remote area outside of Morgan Hill, a spokesman for the sheriff's office said.

Deputies responded at about 1:40 a.m. to a report of a suspicious circumstance in the area of Sheila Avenue and Prom Drive, between the cities of Morgan Hill and Gilroy, sheriff's Sgt. Rick Sung said.
