There weren’t too many rays of sunshine in the 49ers season last year. No secret there. In fact, our beleaguered boys only managed two wins, both against the struggling Los Angeles Rams.
Well, it’s rematch time tonight, with the winless 49ers hosting the Rams at Levi’s Stadium. Only this time around, they’ll be facing a much stronger team. While the 49ers have struggled through the first two games of an already shaky season, losing to both the Panthers and the Seahawks, the Rams have looked far more solid in comparison. Former number one draft pick Jared Goff is starting — ever so slightly — to live up to his potential, leading his team to an average of 352.2 yards per game and a total of 66 points scored (tied for third-best in the NFL).
