The Bay Bridge will be closed over Labor Day weekend in order to take the original East Span out of service and open the new East Span to traffic.

The closure will begin at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28. The new span is scheduled open at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3.

BART: Will run on a 24-hour basis throughout the closure. Overnight trains will run on an hourly basis.
