It was the news no one wanted to hear. A missing elderly man from Burlingame was found deceased Tuesday afternoon.

Ivor Morris went out for a walk Monday morning and did not return. His home was on 1600 block of Ralston in Burlingame. Someone in nearby Hillsborough reported seeing a man down in Rowan Tree Lane just after 1 p.m. Tuesday.

The man has been positively identified as Mr. Ivor Morris. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There were no signs of foul play.

Morris, who goes by Scotty, went out for a walk at 9 a.m. and his wife called police around 4 p.m. when he did not return.

This report comes one day after a successful missing person's case out of San Jose.

Police say an alert citizen helped them locate an elderly woman who went missing on Sunday.

Vuong Tran, 83, disappeared after heading out to go for a walk in a park near her home.

Tran was eventually spotted in the area of West Capitol Expressway and Narvaez Avenue by a member of the public who recognized her from news reports, according to police.

Officers responded and then contacted family members, who arrived and picked up Tran.
