PG&E power outages

More than 32,000 PG&E customers were without power in the East Bay Thursday evening, the utility company said.

PG&E officials said that a “system error” caused a false report of a massive power outage in the East Bay Wednesday evening.

Almost 4,200 PG&E customers in the Walnut Creek area were without power Sunday night, according to the company’s outage map.

It was a second day without power for some Oakland Hills residents after strong winds swept through knocking down trees and powerlines. Christie Smith reports.

More than 2,000 PG&E customers were without power in the Bay Area Sunday morning, the utility company said.

A storm pummeling the Bay Area continued to flood roads, knock down trees and down power to thousands in the region on Sunday afternoon.

Over than 11,000 Bay Area customers were without power Wednesday night following weather-related causes and other causes, officials with the Pacific Gas & Electric said on their website.
